War. Why?

Okay so, my teacher assigned me a project about the war of 1812. What we had to do is act as one of the Americans and write a diary about one of the wars. Instead i wrote about the main part of the war. Now i don't really know that this is the main part of the war but if it wasn't for this women Britain would have been defeated. When i was at the end of writing it i looked up "Quotes about war" and i saw a really interesting quote that said "War doesn't not determine who is Right, Only who is Left". That is so true, i don't get why people have to use war as a way to solve conflict between two nations. Weren't people always taught as a kid "Violence is not a solution". That goes for adults too, doesn't it?. If not then why are we taught it at all. The whole reason we go to school is to learn about skills and stuff we need to be a grown adult. We are also taught no to use weapons, they are bad. People die everyday is what i was always told. In wars people die ever millisecond. Its just not right. Life is valuable and shouldn't be wasted on something as stupid as going out just to kill more people. My question is when will this end?. I hope soon, because some day soon theres gonna come a day when we all have together and these wars are just gonna make it harder.
